You will have to source all your vendors yourself, however the wedding co-ordinator will confirm all your vendors and communicate with them a month before your wedding. They will also create a day-of timeline, and ensure payments, guest counts and vendors are in order. They will also contact the venue to make sure everything 

However, they won’t be involved in any earlier planning or budget management. Nonetheless, they ensure all the planning you’ve done up until they take over is seamless, and they will help tie over any loose ends or flag any issues they see arising. 

This is a great option for those who are confident in the planning process, but want someone on the day to take the coordination stress away from them and ensure their wedding day runs smoothly. 

Often large wedding venues will come with a venue coordinator. They are similar to a wedding coordinator, however the big difference is, the venue coordinator works for the venue not you. Whilst they ensure the day runs smoothly, their main focus is working for the venue rather than for you. So it’s always recommended to hire your own wedding coordinator as their sole responsibility will be you.
